The building department handles building, electrical, gas and plumbing permits.

Building permits are needed for new homes, additions, renovations, refinishing basements, siding, windows, roofing, chimneys, demolition, pools (above and in-ground), signs, sheds (if larger than 120 square feet), wood stoves, pellett stoves, gas fireplaces and inserts. You do not need a permit for a fence unless it is to be 8 feet tall or higher.  Contact the office for further information on fences.

If you have a question regarding the need for a permit please give the office a call. 

Plumbing and gas inspections are done Monday through Friday.  You need to call Gail to make arrangements.

Electrical inspections are done on Tuesday and Thursdays after 3:30PM.

A REMINDER TO ALL RESIDENTS THAT ALL HOMES MUST HAVE NUMBERS 4 INCHES HIGH AND CONTRASTING IN COLOR ON THE MAILBOX, BOTH SIDES OR ON THE FRONT IN ADDITION TO THE ONES ON THE HOUSES THAT ARE NOT IN PLAIN VIEW. THERE IS A $25.00 FINE IF THERE ARE NO NUMBERS.
